Tuesday morning Mom and Cammi took the Bubba Buggy out for a jog to the park and were even so brave as to include Mr. Monk. We then spent the afternoon canning pickles and banana peppers. For dinner we made fried flounder and black bean tacos, homemade tortilla chips with left over Asian coleslaw on the side.
Wednesday we ventured to Burgaw to meet all of Daddy's work colleagues. Camden was a big hit of course. We had a lunch date at the Whistle Stop Cafe (just like in "Fried Green Tomatoes"). Mom and Cammi had a grilled pimento cheese sandwich with rice fruit salad and Daddy had a BLT with potato salad.
After we left Daddy; Cammi and Momma strolled to the Independence Mall were Miss Cammi Simone just couldn't resist buying her first pair of blue jeans (don't worry Daddy they were on sale). Wednesday evening Daddy coaxed Mom into accompanying him to the batting cages to brush up on his swing before his game on Sunday. He even talked her into taking a couple of swings. hahaha
For dinner we tried something different with our frozen pizza. We doctored it up with fresh basil, tomatoes, and Parmesan and threw it on the grill.
Thursday Cammi had a date night with Daddy while Momma went out for a girls night out at Tower 7. Cammi and Daddy read and played; and the little Nugget due to some excessive spit-up ended up with two baths back to back.
Friday Mom and Camden had an early morning doctor's apt. Then went beboping to get a house warming present for Pop-pop and Scoozie's new town house in Reston, VA that they are going to visit next week. After they found the perfect gift the girls journeyed to the beauty parlor to visit Auntie Ashley and sneakily cut 5 inches off of Mommy's hair. Daddy was very surprised hahaha. Daddy had Friday night beers while spending quality time reading to Cammi Simone. Momma was busy in the kitchen making grilled chicken, risotto cakes and spinach salad with cranberries, almonds and poppy seed sesame dressing for dinner.
Saturday, after wishing Monkey a "Happy 8th Birthday," Cammi and Momma packed up the car and headed to Pawies house in Raleigh to meet Scoozie for her first road trip to Reston, VA. We had a not so quick lunch and Pawie and Cammi Simone had a little snooze in Grandy's chair. Then we packed up Pop-pop's Lexus with as much stuff as we could, including the two Schnauzers and started off on our latest adventure.
You ladies sure know how to pack up a car! ;-) That picture of Pawie and Miss Cammi in Grandy's chair is just too precious. Y'all are truly a blessed family. Love you. x
